Thanks for posting the poll. This ought to be interseting. I'm downloading ET Fortess right now to have a look at it. It looks like just what you'd think: An ET version of Team Fortess! |

| Enemy Territory is OK, but mods and maps are sparse and hard to code. The UT series is full of maps and mods, plus beleive it or not people still play the first UT and it is pretty easy to find, and cheap. I'm a halfway decent mapper for the first UT too.

I'll play WoW too, if i get it for christmas. | no offence but i think it's going to be gaming on linux mostly. i saw it being discussed in another forum (the topic that gave birth to this one). besides, linux = better ping times == maximum pwnage of windows machines

Here's why Linux is easier than Windows:
Package Managers! Apt-Get and Portage (among others) allow users to install programs MUCH easier than Windows can.
Hardware Drivers. In SuSE, ALL the hardware is detected and installed automatically! How is this harder than Windows' constant disc changing and rebooting?

Nah, I think it would actually be OK to use any OS, after all, Linux/BSD does rock, but some people have ATI cards, we have to be nice to them too Also, some people dont have internet on their Linux boxes because their parents are being mean like that You know who that is... |
