Later I realized I have started this thread about something as banal as the beauty of a terrible actress (in my humble, uninformed, and subjective) opinion... I am sorry! I was bored with the flu and a huge load of antibiotics and cough syrup...
Sara Jessica Parker... She can't act! She is ugly but thinks she is pretty, she tries too damn hard! And quite frankly the show is just a description of the way of life of very specific types...
Though, I must confess, I love Charlotte! I wish the show were only about her just smiling to the camera (that would have more substance...)
And let us face it how often do you have it with three or four partners as often as those chicks? huh?

Actually, I thought it made the show a little less annoying that they're (a) not all super-gorgeous and (b) a little bit older than most female leads on TV.
It wouldn't have had any appeal to the female audience if it was an all-Bond-girl cast.

Carrie's not very attractive, I agree. Samantha is quite pretty for an older woman, though.
Seeing her still reminds me of Big Trouble in Little China.
