    RedHat ending distribution of Linux???

    Heard this rumour on the NLUG mailing list and wondered if any of you had heard it and if so, what is the best alternative?

    I hear Debian is the Kylie Minogue of the Linux world (Small, compact, has everything you could want and does all the right things, looks great and has a class personality) but are there any other good ones?

    I use RH9 and I find this *rocks* but am always willing to experiment....

    Of course, now I *KNOW* what Fedora is...lol

    well there are so many good distros. i mean debian is good, so is gentoo, and slackware. but if you are looking for easy of use and install i would check out mandrake and suse. hope this helps

    If you're feeling really froggy, you can go over to distrowatch.com and start with #1 and install every distro that you can.

    I heard this, and was a tad dissapointed...
    I'm fairly new to linux and use RH9, and will most likely continue to even after they stop support. Now, they are offereing Fedora, but I haven't taken a look at it yet, but was wondering if anyone else here has? I don't think I'll jump right to it from RH9, but its a possibility in the future..
    Any one have anything of Fedora (pros or cons)?
