I see your point and idiosyncracies do crop up so every now and then. Migration is definitely worth it. I'd like to add my vote to Stefann's idea of using Drupal. My only item on the wish list is: make it as light as possible on the images. Though I am typically on broadband, I seem to suffer from long download times and rendering times where other sites seem fine.

Me and Linux don't get along that well to date, but I certainly like to see an even larger community of Linux adepts here.
