    Your favourite food?

It's been asked before, but that was a poll which asked, 'What was your favourite computing food?'

What I would like to know is what is your favourite food, any time, any place , anywhere?

Personally I like a good prawn curry with white wine. Or home made vegetable pie (with plenty of gravy). If you like cooking, what do you like to cook? I want to hear about interesting national/regional dishes ... educate me!

Sounds Italian. I like a good pasta with tomato sauce ... I could go forever. I have a theory that most good food is fairly simple.

I have so many favorite's but if I had to pick the top, I would have to say Falafel and Hummus!! Truthfully anything from the Mediterranean/Middle Eastern region would have to fill my top Ten, from Italian and Greek, to Lebanese and Jordanean! There are so many good foods and spices from this area, I guess that's what will happen when you have a couple thousand years of culture to perfect the recipe's!

    Rice.

I absolutely love rice, it is so easy to eat, it doesn't bloat the stomach, it goes with any kind of gravy/sauce, or even on it's own. You can also fry it, boil it, steam it, microwave it, thus it has veriaty.

When my mum cooks a dish with rice, she does 5 portions, 1 between mum and dad, and four for me

Seafood! Lots and lots of seafood! There's also chicken wings and a nice thick and juicy steak with honey garlic sauce. Actually, now that I think about it, I like just about anything other than couscous and mustard.

I should not be thinking about this before dinner.
