Now throw a third OS into the fray...

I use an iBook for school, linux for play, and windows if I have to... Apple did this nice thing with the touchpad where dragging one finger around lets you move the cursor like normal, and dragging 2 fingers around moves scroll bars, which is a pain in the ass when you switch to a dell or hp and you're like "Why isn't this window scrolling?"
Cause the whole world loves it when you don\'t get down.
And the whole world loves it when you make that sound.

Haha. Yeah, the times when I have to use nano (or Emacs, for that matter), I tend to type :wq and be confused when it doesn't work.

I work with a guy who used to work for Synaptics, and he tried to get them to use an algorithm that would allow the touchpad to figure out that there was more than one finger on it. Instead they used a "centre of mass" algorithm that just calculates the centre of whatever happens to be touching it.

This is why the cursor jumps moves as it does if you tap a finger on the touchpad while holding another finger in one place.

You learn something new everyday! That's actually kinda neat...
