    The New Layout?

What do you guys think of the new vBulliten layout? I thought I was at the wrong site when I first went here... until I went to the announcments section and saw all of the same threads... I think it's gonna take some getting used to, I'm so used to the old system...

I like it very much, but agree that it will take some getting used to.

    Thumbs up

I don't know if there are actually any functional differences. I'm definitely finding the visual scheme to be easier on the eyes.

Same here. The blue is a bit more relaxing, in my opinion.

<rant>bah! I don't like it, to give you an idea.. I stopped going to LinuxQuestions because of the user interface and the layout, I thought it looked ugly and now LinuxForums looks exactly the same.. wtf.. I enjoyed the nice looking layout with the old site but no matter.

Some may find it to be ridiculous, and it might be, but I just find the vbulletin to be hideous. Oh, and the smilies look like hell too, the green smiley smiling looks asian. The "User CP" bugs the crap out of me, I don't even want to manage my account anymore, to be honest.</rant>

Anyhoo, that's my rant. I might just hold off on this forum and chat on IRC from now on.

I like both the old and the new but what happened to penguins like rating system now it seems like your juniormember or seniormember and thats it. I was striving for my third penguin, but nonetheless I like it and a little change is good and I appreciate all the hardwork that went into changing the forum and all the posters on this forum.
All right, brain. You don't like me and I don't like you, but let's just do this and I can get back to killing you with beer. All New Users Read This!!! If you have a grub problem please look at GRUB MANUAL

I think the new layout looks great, but I haven't figured out how well it functions yet. I don't see an option anywhere for "View My Posts" where it lists all my threads. That's the only way I can keep up with where I've posted anymore.

Dittto, I like it very much. Too bad the penguins are missing ATM. Man, now only if EQEMU could make a nice design like this.
Nothing is worse than ten penguins fighting over which is better, vi or emacs.

To be perfectly honest, I don't really like it very much at all either... I can't believe the old forum was free... vBulliten may be a lot better on the administrative side, but for us lowly members I can't see any benifits... would Core consider perhaps changing the theme at least? It just doesn't feel right... I told you we should have put this down to a vote... I miss phpBB
I like being called a senior member though.
Hey... where'd the dancing banana go... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
