Fluxbox hands down. Extremely light, customizible, and you choose what you want
Can't beat that.

I prefer GNOME.
In my opinion, KDE has too many options and images."Don't think about the work, think about the benefit"

- 08-17-2006 #87Thanks, the system monitor is Conky. There's a couple of extra things in it's configuration (gentoo-based, for instance, the last time I ran emerge --sync) which I got from the gentoo wiki (do a search for conky). As for the rest, it's all Xfce extras (goodies?). First there's some icons on the left, just various programs (the icon theme is Noia). After the desktop pager, I have the Xfce mount tool, next to it the keyboard layout switcher (Usually english qwerty but sometimes the slovenian qwertz), then a taskbar (I used the 'expand to fit screen' option so the bottom bar fills up the whole screen, like in KDE or Gnome, also it only shows the icons), then settings and logout/reboot, the next is network I/O followed by a CPU graph (you can change the color, I have it blue-violet-red).

I prefer KDE, but I don't mind switching to Gnome every once in a while.
