I use Yahoo. They have great spam filters and my account is virtually spam free. It's all I really need for home use because my friends use it to contact me.

I considered Gmail, but was convinced by http://www.gmail-is-too-creepy.com and the word on the street not to get it. Instead, I've been using http://runbox.com. I do have to pay, but I've been pleased with it. Then I use hotmail and yahoo for registering for things online. Helps keep my main one spam-free.

GMail for Primary, another Gmail for spam and Hotmail address is for people I don't trust.
