What Email Provider are you Using?
Just curious to see what linux users use to get email. I have personally used yahoo for a few years now and i am pretty happy with it. How about you all. I'm guessing Gmail is going to win. Lets see if that comes true.

Gmail. Yeah, I actually used Yahoo! for a while, and would probably still be using it if I hadn't gotten a Gmail invitation. Yahoo! doesn't really support POP access unless you have a paid account, so you have to use a third party program called YPOPs!, which actually isn't that bad, it's just that it slows down server access. But Yahoo! still doesn't have near as much storage as Gmail. And the Gmail servers are really really really fast. The best part: it's free, free POP access, free filtering, free everything. And it has some really cool features too. Gmail is really very radical in the world of email service providers, I hope Google can become a major player in the tech field and start bullying Microsoft, because I have a feeling they will probably promote the free software movement.
Anyway Gmail is awesome, if anybody wants an invite feel free to email me or pm me, I'm always here. I've got 99 invites to give out, don't make me keep them all to myself...

Mostly Gmail but also my own mail server.

GMail.
After having experienced threaded messages, I really don't think I could go back to another provider. This is certainly one of the greatest features in modern e-mail.DISTRO=Arch

gmail is cool... but I stopped using hotmail about 3 years ago because it was far too spam-oriented.

i use yahoo mail plus. it's pay-for, but i've been using it for a while and really like the feature of "spam-addresses". i can set up as many false email addresses as i'd like. so, for example, i use one for here at "joshsolanes-linuxforums@yahoo.com", and another for another forum i frequent, clubrsx at "joshsolanes-clubrsx@yahoo.com".
but "joshsolanes@yahoo.com" isn't my main address either
i have maybe 50 of these now, one for each place i sign up for....all the mail goes into their own folder and if i don't want mail from a place any more i can simply delete the false account and i'll never see the mail again
