I had a similar experience with an online dating site. The only people who seemed interested were some Russian women with dodgy profiles who, 'Vanted meet nice Western guy: we get romance.' Yeah right - Meet me, move over here, dump me. Sometimes the same girl would forget she'd already emailed me and she would try again. My memory is long ... very very long.

I had some interest from a couple of extremely milky 'Professional Women' who had no time to date anyway, 'Just wanted to say hi' and then disappeared. They were so middle class they didn't even exist.

After a few months I felt sick, demoralised but also strangely amused. I may try online dating again, but only when Saturn is in conjunction with my left nostril and it's the Year of the Strawberry: no! That could happen soon!!

Well, actually she's made a special dispensation for sending messages to you. Haha.

Listen, would you like me to set you guys up? Even though you are in two different countries and so am I, it could work. Each of you send me some money so I can arrange this and we will be all set.....

As for the original question, I am single and sorta trying. It's a long story.
