EDIT: I recently got Xgl working now with Gnome

It runs very very fast/smooth. What you see is 3 videos playing simultaneously across two different desktops. I then changed the transparency on them and rotated the desktop slightly when i took this screenshot. the videos were still playing smoothly when i did this

Very nice screenshot josolanes, and cool effect in the second shot! I'm generally not a Gnome user but I'm looking forward to trying Gnome 2.14 when it's released in a few days. Hopefully it'll appear in the Arch repo right away.
