Here's me. I've been using Gnome for the past while with all of the XGL goodness. Smooth as hell I tell you, and seems faster than normal X.

My desktop now for quite a bit: screenshot

Xfce, running on Gentoo, with the Conky sistem monitor (easy to use, and one of the few sistem monitors which is not annoying, ).

And yes, I prefer light desktops

Hehe, yeah, as I said, I like very light desktops. Actually, on some monitors (my old laptop for one), this wallpaper was way too bright (my LCD makes it a bit easier on the eyes). I'm thinking about redoing everything in black just for the fun of it.
