    new desktop, fvwm with a theme i tossed together, conky with a theme i modified, xmms, irssi, and a few Eterm's running.

    It's a trick, only inactive windows are transparent.

    It's all very much standard :
    -user-interface=xfce-dusk (and it's default .gtkrc)
    -window-manager=defcon-IV
    -with "compositor" on

    Wow, two beautiful desktops on this page. I myself am vain about transparency, but that xfce is just gorgeous, I like your overall design Fingal. Who's the broad?

    updates on my fvwm, did some tweaking for minumized windows and minor things, also encoding a avi video to mpg for dvd burning in the shot, minimized windows are (from left to right) Gimp, Gimp layers, k3b, rox-files,worker and xawth viewing my webcam thats streaming over the net
