Dammit, I'm still trying to figure out how to get 3d and opengl on my ATI Radeon 200M card. I'd love to xgl going.

It's hilarious that you're watching Tron. I loved that movie as a kid and watching it recently, I thought it, well, held-up, I could say, to memory. My wife hated it.

    Hehe.

The CPU is a Pentium M 1.73 Ghz, using the "speedstep_centrino" module and the "ondemand" governor, it can go from 798 Mhz to 1.73 Ghz.

Even with the el-cheapo 915 GM onboard video, AIGLX + Compiz takes almost no CPU, so the CPU stays at 798 Mhz.

I was very doubtful about trying AIGLX + Compiz on that machine. But in the end it performs marvelously well, without any tweaking.
