It took me some time to get QEMU to work nicely, I read a lot of outdated information and tutorials, only to find that to proper way to do it was rather simple.
If anyone is interested, here is how I succeded.

Hey duffman108, I know you've said this before but what's that little app in the top left hand corner of your first screenshot? I thought you said you had hacked that together yourself but I'd love to have something like that for my Desktop. Something lightweight and non-resource heavy would be perfect.

Looks like he is running 'Conky'. Possibly 'torsmo' but most likely it's conky. All the data is pretty standard stuff with conky so it shouldn't be to hard to get a similar looking config.

Perhaps my last moments with Compiz, before I make the jump to Beryl...

    Hey antidrugue,

I'm just curious...if your having what appears to be great success with compiz, why the switch to Beryl?

    Well, not quite sure why.

Out of curiosity I guess. I have heard good things about the upcoming Beryl 2.0 features, and some less good things about its stability.

I simply want to experience it myself, see what it has to offer, first hand.

Beryl seems interesting, as its development is very much fast paced compare to Compiz's one.

Though I suspect it does consume a bit more system resources.

Fair enough. I'm always curious and from the sounds of it...I want to try it now too.

I've used both compiz and beryl and there are benefits to both and negatives. Beryl is easier to configure which was always nice for me.

    Enjoy beryl!

I just thought I would beat antidrugue to the post and show you my desktop with beryl 0.1.9999.2 (RC something).

    Very nice indeed.

Apparently Beryl 2.0 final is out February 20, but I guess I'll try it out this week-end anyway.
