I noticed a little icon at the bottom right of my screen while visiting a Linux website. I placed the mouse arrow over it and " this page contains coding errors " appeared.

My guess is that you have some sort of HTML/CSS validator installed.
Basically, because Firefox is a standards-compliant web browser, we tend to rely a lot on W3C specifications. The W3C provides a service that will look over a website and see if your HTML is valid.
Firefox has the option to install such a thing: you probably installed it.DISTRO=Arch

That's the DOM inspecter extension, it comes with a default firefox install. If you want to get rid of it remove it from the extension dialog.

Although my Gnome desktop has a Firefox browser pre-installed, I do not use it. I was using the Konqueror browser when I noticed the icon. I appreciate your responses but I am wondering if this thing is supposed to appear when I am not using Firefox. I am also going to have to look up the terms you have mentioned. I have to confess to being a computer illiterate but I Thank You for responding.
