Here again, when I bought my first video tape player in the early 80's, everyone, and I mean EVERYONE told me Beta was superior in every way, and that that's where the technology was headed. I kept my eye on VHS and went against the crowd when I bought my first machine, an RCA VHS top mounter. It was about the size of a refridgerator and cost almost $400.00! For those of you too young to remember, $400.00 was a lot of clams to lay out for any electronic device in 1983. I think VHS players are now what... $55.00 each?

I do have a tendency to go with things that are a little different or less mainstream. But, above all, I think I am attracted to things that are older. I mean, I like typewriters to write with, I like older hardware, older cars...stuff like that.
So, when talking about my draw to older hardware, linux is a perfect fit cause it really makes that stuff a lot more useful!Join the Open Source Revolution. Support GNU/Linux.
