    Ubuntu 6.04 Development

Does anyone know how well the development of Ubuntu 6.04, AKA Dapper Drake, is going? Shuttleworth specifically asked the devteam to put in "extra effort" for this release to fish Windows users away from Vista. I don't know how much that "extra effort" clause will mean when the final product is released, though, but I am very excited, since that when Microsoft releases individual non-OEM copies for sale, then Ubuntu will be at 6.10, and I'm guessing that the rest of the Linux industry is really giving lots of extra effort against Vista as well.

I've tried the Dapper Drake rc3, it was a bit buggy but otherwise I liked what I saw. I especially liked the new logout screen, it looks nicer then the current gnome one IMO. I also saw thei're putting up a new default iconset to comply with the rest of the desktop - there was a poll at ubuntuforums about which icontheme.
