how would that take up more memory? i would think that it would just upload all the graphics to the gpu memory and let the gpu take care of all the graphic stuff. i would think that would save on systm memory and system proccesses.

of course i dont know that much about it.

I think you can get them from the "w32codecs" package.

I am not that impressed. It doesn't seem like anything that would be useful. Perhaps in the future, not now.

For example, the thing they called "Desktop Organization" (from the movie). Why would I need my windows to zoom out like that, so I can see them all at one time? Isn't the point of the taskbar to have a places where all programs are visible at one time?

this definitely looks like a response to aero, except much much cooler. wobbly transparent windows!
Here's why Linux is easier than Windows:
Package Managers! Apt-Get and Portage (among others) allow users to install programs MUCH easier than Windows can.
Hardware Drivers. In SuSE, ALL the hardware is detected and installed automatically! How is this harder than Windows' constant disc changing and rebooting?

How might they be more useful in the future? Just curious.

Maybe not it exectly, but it *could* lead to something. I just point it in there so I couldn't be proven wrong in the future.

I would need extra brains to cope with everything that the screens were doing but the concept is nice.
