Well, I just installed it here at work. It 'looks' good, but seems rather slow (I'm on a T1 at work). I am on an older PC (PIII 734mz with only 512mb memory). I may try it at home where I have a P4 3GHZ w/2GB memory with a DSL connection; just for comparison.
Having said that, I'm pretty much an Opera fan with Firefox being a very close second.

I'm using a T1 connection in my dorm room, and I didn't notice any real difference in speed. The most annoying thing about it is their search bar. In order to change the default search engine from MSN to something else, you click on the drop-down arrow and select "Get Search Providers..." which brings you to a webpage on the Microsoft website where they have several search engines listed to choose from. Why not just put the different search engine choices directly in the drop-down menu like the other browsers do? Also whenever I typed something in the search bar and hit "enter" it made an annoying beep whenever it completed the search. It didn't do this if I clicked on the search button, but that's extra unnecessary mouse work.
I like Opera too, but I use Firefox because of the functionality and customizeability
I can get with extentions. If I had to use either one "out of the box" though, I would choose Opera.

I downloaded and installed IE7 for my XP.
I like it better than IE6.
Haven't tried the search function yet.
It felt weird using tabs in IE.How to know if you are a geek.

Same here. For over a year now I've been doing everything I can to avoid using IE. I even carry around a flash drive with Portable Firefox on it so I can use it on other people's computers and in the computer labs on campus.

The only reason i have Windows on my computer is to see if I can fix the viruses I get surfing the net.
I like to test the free antivirus/anti-malware applications out there.
Usng Firefox would defeat that purpose. How to know if you are a geek.

I'v used IE7 while running Windows Vista Beta 1 in the classroom. IMO its pretty much a clone of Firefox. For example when I press Alt+T it opens a new tab and what not. When will MS actually inovate?
