so, what do you all think, if you use windows, would you rather use ff or ie7, they have finally put tabs in ie, its about time too...i haven't actually tried it yet, so i don't know how good its supposed to be...,but look at this (LINK) already a bug out.
Yes i do know that this is still in beta stage, i was just pointing this out :P
So, yeah how is this competing against the other browsers of the world?

I'll end up using both. Windows at work and The Fox at home. Personally I prefer FF for tabbed browsing and customisation, but mainly because it's open source and it updates itself whenever there's a bug fix.
Good to feel that you're contributing if there's a browser crash and you submit a bug report to FF.
My immediate boss is a Firefox user, so not hostile to the idea of using it. I might suggest that we adopt it at work, but I'm biding my time.I am always doing that which I can not do, in order that I may learn how to do it. - Pablo Picasso

Yeah, i know, it's all about choice, that's what i am asking, what is your choice
When i said "pretty much everyone" i know it isn't true, it's just that *most* people that i know use FireFox, and i know people who use IE, and i know people who use Opera, but i always thought that alot more people use firefox than the other 2

This is everything I know about FF and IE use:
* Firefox has increased its share of usage and eaten into IE's market share. I think Borromini is about right on 10% ... Perhaps a little more: I just read an occasional press release;
* most of the increase in FF usage is in North America;
* most of the time FF is used at home rather than at work;
* I don't care all that much, but I'm always happy when I read that more people are using FF. I've found it to be very stable and just FUN to use.
Errrr ... That's all really.

Running IE 7 through WINE may be easier said than done. I downloaded and installed IE 7 beta 2 on Windows XP when it was released to the public, and I got this interesting screen during the installation wizard that said:
It then checked to see if I indeed was running a valid copy of Windows XP. I'm not sure how easy it will be to fake this in WINE.Before installing Windows Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview, you need to validate your copy of Windows with Windows Genuine Advantage. Validation assures that you are running a genuine copy of Windows. By using genuine Microsoft Windows software, you can be confident that you will have access to the latest features, updates, and support which will help to improve your productivity and expand the capabilities of your PC. You will also have access to new innovations and offerings available only to genuine Windows customers.
