I don't like this thread eather (I doubt anybody got shot )
BUT I'm not into censorship I would rather see something I don't like
than miss something inportant because someone might not like it

no like I sed I'm not into censorship
I'm one of those people who thinks there is far to little freedom in the world
to some people this thread is important
(who am I to juge what is imporant to to others )
I don't like this thread eather
no one and nothing is being harmed by this thread
and no one has to enter a thread thay don't like it
and as long as you don't have to enter a thread you dont like
why should you care what threads there are open
I'd say that wishing for a thread to be closed in that thread is flame bating
so now that you have gotten the mild flame you were bating for why don't you just drop it ?
or was your plain to flame bate get a war started so the thread would be closed and deleted

Locking a thread is NOT censorship. It is a measure the moderators use in order to keep peace and civility on the forum. Since it is their forum and you and I are guests, the owner and moderators can lock and delete posts and threads as they wish.

I'm personally of the opinion that this thread should be locked, as I can't see anything useful to Linux Forums coming from it. The news about the shooting is out there and we all know about it, so the thread has served its purpose.
Just my two cents...
