    A movie for Valentines Day...

I just saw a great romantic comedy during my internship at Universal Music. It is called “Funny Valentine”. It’s a cross between Sex and the City meets 40 Year Old Virgin. It’s a reminder of the days of early love, relationships, and dating. I am skeptical about straight to video movies, but this Funny Valentine proved me wrong. I thought this film was hilarious, creative, and relatable.

Let me know what you have heard about this film.

Agreed... I think it's the word "Entertainment" in the Gaming / Games / Multimedia / Entertainment forum that throws people for a loop, but I think that means computer entertainment.

In the interim, welcome to the forums, hunypot5.

Ahhh, you old romantic... You must have been really badly hurt in a relationship before. Have you thought about counselling?

And it's really St Valentines day; in theory a Christian festival - and a lot more wholesome than Hallowe'en. I cant stand the commercialism, however - four bleeding quid for a card, just to tell my utterly gorgeous significant other what she already knew...

Actually, if you're in the US, it's more than likely straight. I do agree that it's a pointless commercial holiday though.

Pointless?! I just got a gorgeous single red rose delivered to me at work, with a card saying "to someone very special, all my love..."

I was chuffed to bits! So it's not pointless, neither is it gay

Ah, but if you received that completely out of the blue, *not* on valentine's - wouldn't that have surprised and touched you more deeply?

I don't think VD is pointless - it's designed to make a whole lot of money for retailers based on guilt, just like the equally idiotic Mother's and Father's days. I don't need a specially sanctioned day to tell my wife I love her.

I once went out with a girl who sent me a whole bouquet of flowers with a similar note, and I was chuffed to bits.

Whoever sent you those flowers has my admiration btw. There's nothing pointless about romance. Without it life can get very very very dull.

Yeah of course, but we've only been together a month so today is the best day to send flowers to show how much he likes me
