It started as I was fed up with viruses and spyware and all the other little nasty's living in the windows world. But then it became a really enjoyable hobby and I screw around with different distro's or hardware/software when I have time instead of watching tv or doing some of the other mindless activities that are so easy to fall prey to.
All right, brain. You don't like me and I don't like you, but let's just do this and I can get back to killing you with beer. All New Users Read This!!! If you have a grub problem please look at GRUB MANUAL

Being a computer hobbiest of sorts, I simply find Linux much more fun, interesting, and customizable. It's nice to have more options and control over one's operating system, too. In addition to all that, I can't find any good reason not to use it.

I HATE windows too that's why I want to get a laptop without windows OS

just linux (maybe installing linux and resolving problem is a good time too

better than watching boring TV programs or talking too other people about

    "nothing")

Primary reason was for work. Networking, memory management, stability and flexibility are miles beyond Windows, and OSX simply layered the toffee interface so thick over top it kept us from doing our job. Having said that, there are a handful of non-tech types here that love OSX, but the rest of us prefer our fat, bouncing icons removable, please.
