    War time codes cracked by amateurs

    Hi - I was intrigued by this BBC press release. What grabbed me was that the person who got the project going is a violinist with an interest in open source.

    I think it's incredible that German war time codes could take this long to crack. Distributed computing is amazing! It means that potentially groups of people like us can help to shape the world without leaving our armchairs.
