i just wanted to say this thing is awesome. i have never used a live cd before. it may end up in my staple of tools for diagnosing problems....

    Slax Live CD Distro

    Never used a livecd? You need to try Knoppix then!

    I have to agree, slax is very nice. I also got GamingKnoppix which comes with nVidia drivers preinstalled and whole bunch of other cool stuff.

    Which Slax is it? Kill Bill? Thats the one I have used. Knoppix is really good too.

    Maybe start with one that fills your needs (check "primary function"), such as system rescue, desktop, or OS replacement. Or you could start with one that has a high number of votes. Note that some of the better ones for system rescue aren't at the top of the list.
