Linux compatible Inksaver program needed, please!!

When I used Windows XP a program called " Inksaver " reduced the amount of ink I used by forty percent. I use a Suse Linux 10 OS now and my printer is going through ink way too fast for my tight budget.

Has any forum member heard of a Linux compatible program for reducing a printers ink consumption, please? Thank You!

I was prompted by a member of another Linux forum to change my printer's resolution through - http://localhost:631 - but I could not access it. This in turn caused me to explore my Yast printer settings; where I was able to find and change the resolution setting for my printer. What a difference!!

Linux Problem solved-no extra software needed.
