I'm so glad someone decided to post this as I was considering downloading FC4 sometime this weekend without even knowing about the existence of FC5.I’m now looking forward to this as I’m desperate to find a distro that works well with my laptop. I’ve done over 10 installs in the last 10 days I had my laptop and just can’t find one that works

whats your lappys specs? and what kind of distro are you looking for? like a fairly easy one to use and stuff or an advanced distro?

I've actually now got it working in Suse 10 fine. It's amazing what you can achieve when you actually carry your brain around with you.
All i needed to do was install ipw-firmware. It would have been useful if suse actually mentioned somewhere that although the ipw2200 drivers came with the distro, the firmware didn't.
Now just need to work out if there is a way to get the built-in 4-in-1 card reader to work.
btw, Laptop is an Acer Aspire 1692WMLi

It's a really nice distribution, the best I've seen so far, we'll be posting a full review of it today with screenshots and all

yes, i think i'll be looking forward to it too. i'm still debating which distro to use long term because i think its largely pointless to have more than 1 distro. currently, i have 2 distros on my HD - suse and fedora. i use fedora for gnome and suse for kde. having 2 also helps with making backups of development work and documents etc (ie i just send data from one distro to the other to temporaryily store there) too.
hopefully FC5 will help me make that decision.
