i heard fc5 is supposed to com out this wendsday any one elce hear that? any one beta tested it yet? hows it run... my suse box just crashed so i wanna try i t out on there before i (if i even do) put suse back on. i was a red hat guy from 6-9 then i stopped when it turned into fedora... for some reason im excited about this new one tho... i have good feelings about it. anyonelce know anything about it? -ZAc

Its supposed to come out with every 2 releases of Gnome. 2.14 comes outta tomorrow (15th) and FC4 shipped with 2.10

- 03-15-2006 #7If FC5 is like previous Fedora Core releases, then yes, you should be able to simply upgrade all your packages and not do a complete reinstall. I personally find I have less issues with a clean install than an upgrade on any distro, though.

- 03-15-2006 #9I have mechanisms in place (read: friends with broadband) that I hope will allow me to get copies of Fedora Core 5 and SuSE 10.1. As soon as I receive them, I will certainly be reviewing them. (Or ranting about them... depending on how good they are.)
