This makes me so very sad. I can't believe their god got involved in this. I believe my God likes me to use Linux (and He isn't Ala). Linux, being community oriented, is the most christian-like OS there is. These nuts are so worried about communism. Well, here's some news: the early church (pre-romanist) was more communist than linux will every be. I wish American Christians would read their bibles more and mind their own buisness."Finally, remember to include Linux users in your prayers tonight. As individuals we may not be able to change people's minds, but the Bible teaches that God can make any sinner repent."
Jesus would have used linux. MS is for Pharisees.

That woman Shelley is very good.
And that guy Tristan writing about Linux... king of sarcasm.
It's way too much to be serious.
Either "Tristan" is the funniest man alive, or the son of Satan himself."To express yourself in freedom, you must die to everything of yesterday. From the 'old', you derive security; from the 'new', you gain the flow."

I suspected a connection but considered it a futile attempt to discredit Linux... Mixing Linux with politics, comunism, God, etc. is just lame. People can read the books like: Just for Fun, The cathedral and the bazaar (sp.?), and rebel code to see what Linux and Open Source software is about...-D-

- 05-03-2006 #25With all due respect jonantice, you are making a very hasty generalization about an extremely large group of people. This is the same as saying, "I wish French Arabs would read the Quran and would stop rioting in the streets," Just as in every group, you're going to have in the "American Christian" faith folks who are like this but most are not. Most Christians I know do read and know their bibles and most don't meddle in other people's business. Having said that, this Shelley and Tristan are not interfering in anyone else's business anyway. Under our first amendment, they have as much right to state their beliefs as anyone else, regardless of who does or doesn't agree with their perspective.

This thread has begun to get out of hand, so I'm ending it right here. The site is either satire or the person who wrote it is a moron. Either way, we've given her much too much attention as it is. Locked.
