    Best Linux Notebook

    Hi Guys,

I am going to be buying a new notebook. Which would you recommend for linux? Ideally I would like to maybe get a nice dual code AMD chip NB with Nvidia gfx, but so hard to find a decent one - anyone know of any?

Otherwise I might just go with the Macbook Pro:

The distro I think I will go with will most likely be (K)Ubuntu or Debian. Would the Macbookpro work with Ubuntu?

www.notebookforums.com would be a good place to check this. they have a decently-sized linux community as well.

I would vote for a thinkpad. IBM/Lenovo make some damn good laptops imho.
All right, brain. You don't like me and I don't like you, but let's just do this and I can get back to killing you with beer. All New Users Read This!!! If you have a grub problem please look at GRUB MANUAL

not sure if this is the info you are looking for but I'm running ubuntu on an Acer Aspire 1692WLMi with little problems. SuSE 10.1 also worked lovely on it.

    It's not a dual-core laptop though.
