    ode to techiemoe

well even though the title is cheezy I feel this is an important post. I have been here for a little more than year now pretty consistently and I have noticed one thing that hasn't changed in that year--techiemoe is constantly still helping people (many of the same problems) he is never condensending or in any way rude. He also seems to be the only moderator who consistently scours the forums for inappropriate threads and locks them keeping our forum free of trolls and the such.

So I felt like I would personally like to thank him for his hard work and dedication to this site. Many people seem to come and go but techie seems to always be here (before me and probably after me) so thanks techie and keep up the good work.

Please feel free to post your favorite techie posts or quotes or anything else in this hommage to techiemoe aka supermoderator extraordinare.

so here are some well deserved bananas

All right, brain. You don't like me and I don't like you, but let's just do this and I can get back to killing you with beer. All New Users Read This!!! If you have a grub problem please look at GRUB MANUAL

Yeah - he's cool. My favourite quote is from a review of aLinux which I suggested he might do and which he kindly did. It's from his website and reads:
I have my suspicions that the particular person who recommended aLinux to me on LinuxForums did so strictly for the entertainment value they would get out of hearing me rip it apart. I can say now that after the whole ordeal I went through to install and run this pus-filled urethral drip of a distribution that I have no intention to disappoint.
I always think of that for some reason: makes me grin. And yes, he does a sound job; always gives a balanced view (even to the point of moderating his own posts sometimes) and displays no obvious malice. Well done and thanks for all the fish.

I am also a fan of Techiemoe: I visit his Webpage frequently, read his reviews, etc. He is a good moderator even when disagreeing with posters... So yes... He is like a rock star around here without the ego

i think techieMoe is firm but fair minded. i've read his responses in threads where a member has insulted him once or twice. many (super)moderators would just ban and/or get slightly emotional (moderators are human too) and/or lock the thread, but he did none of them. he handled the situation well and kept his cool.

I just finished reading the book To Kill A Mockingbird. If its not to daring to say so, i'd say Techiemoe is a real life representative of Atticus Finch.
Here's a character sketch of Atticus:

You can pretty much sum his character up with this quote...
"Atticus is a very deep character. His wisdom and honor make the readers look up to him. Atticus Finch is the epitome of a good man."
Anybody who has read the book, I think will agree with me.
