    Hello. Yep, there's loads of information on here .... I use Linux to encode mp3s and it works very well.

    nah, i needed to enable support to play the stupid things. apparently Redhat is afraid of getting sued and doesn't include support

    i'm not about to convert to Ogg though...

    what do you use to rip them? i still mostly use iTunes

    xmms comes with mp3 support just download the v. of their site

    i got an rpm that fixed it from an old thread, it works fine now

    anyone use Solaris on Intel here?

    i can't seem to get it to install on a Dell Optiplex for anything... been trying since 8. 9 and 10 don't seem to work either

    works on my eMachine and my Lattitude though
