I have always considered "Just Joined!" to be rather silly - especially after seeing someone post who has been a member for over a year, but has only posted a few times since they joined...

Perhaps the phrases should reflect how "invested" the person is in the forums? (Not economic or political phrases.)

Perhaps, after a preset amount of time (a month?), "Just Joined!" could/would be automatically changed to a different phrase that is more appropriate?

Just a thought...

heh, i was guilty of self applying this... but i was more referring to being new to this forum

the culture is always different on different boards
