    Unhappy Misconfigured Debian

    Hi

I have tried to install Debian Sarge 1. I as usual didn't read the manual first.
I hit return at the wrong time and ended up installing the wrong video card. I now get a message that says there is an error when starting the Gnome display manager: gdm and I have probably set it up incrrectly, then Im given the option of looking at the xserver to diagnose the problem. click yes and get a that sugests I report the bug. and the version details of the Xserver.

Can anyone help by telling me how to correct this mistake. can I use dpkg to reconfigure it or how.

I used to know linux quite well a few years ago but I have forgotten a lot.

    Regards

    You can do
    Code:
    dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86
To reconfigure the Xfree86 server in Debian Sarge.
