- 07-16-2006 #201if you're referring to fifa rankings, then you are best ignoring them because they say diddly squat about the true ability and past record. if you want a much more accurate ranking, CZR are more like 15th and USA are more like 35th. the reason why USA is so high is because it goes by the number of games that they've won IN THEIR AREA. the USA only has to play against canada, mexico, and one or two others....so it goes by their record against those teams. if you compare the USA with what they've won agsinst the whole world, they are at least as low as 35th (maybe lower) - they are absolutely nowhere in the world rankings.

i heard FIFA are thinking of changing things for this very reason. italy are the no #1 team around now, france have probably dropped out the top 10 since a number of players have retired, though it remains to be seen who'll replace them so i'll wait on that one. england's world cup performances will put them outside the top 10 as well, but if mclaren + venables can get the best out of them then we'll bounce right back in. brazil are probably lingering around 10th as well after performing terribly (got the results, but poor football). argentina and germany will be in the top 4/5, holland will be in the top 10 as well. portugal are definitely not a top side (no matter what easuter thinks) and can't hack it against real competition (if england's strike force was bad, what do you call pauleta?). iran are a heroic team (just for being iran) and should have went further

just keep in mind that these are my own personal rankings
Here's why Linux is easier than Windows:
Package Managers! Apt-Get and Portage (among others) allow users to install programs MUCH easier than Windows can.
Hardware Drivers. In SuSE, ALL the hardware is detected and installed automatically! How is this harder than Windows' constant disc changing and rebooting?
