Yes! And whoever 'wins' (and is able to verify their claims) would win a small prize. For example, a bundle of distros which I will provide. It might not be a BIG bundle, but you get my meaning.

Extra marks awarded for originality, style and entertainment value. Any takers? The winner to be named 'Poptastic Hacker of the Year'.

bundle of distros. that'd be cool. i have extra copies of win3.1, 98, 98se, and me i could throw into the bundle...do those count as distros? or maybe those are just coasters. anyway i could probably even dedicate a page to the winner on my website.

He he ... I suppose you can throw anything you like into that bundle. Funny you should mention time: I'm quite busy normally, but I manage to fit all this in somehow. I'll also be offline for a while after Wednesday, unless I can find a spare PC lying around somewhere; so you can make up your own rules.

i guess you could turn this thread into some sort of open source science experiment with many people experimenting on different aspects and reporting those results in this thread. i bet you could cut the time down to acouple of weeks to fully explore this.

You have no idea how happy that makes me.

I'm going up to Boston for a college orientation on Sunday, if a bunch of us get bored, I'll bring up the idea.
