    any leads yet fellas? I imagine it would be something along the lines of ... opening up the ISO somehow and 'dd'ing it onto a spare partition??

    yeah, i guess that could work...

    *solved* Info on mounting to USB stick or onto hard disk partition can be found on the partedmagic website.

    Bummer...

    It looks like the fellow that puts the Parted Magic LiveCD together has had enough:

    It seems nobody will help with GParted and I don't have the time or money to learn C/C++ to the level needed for an app like this. Ubuntu and others are improving their partition tools and creating better GUI's in their installers. I've been learning that a large number of Parted Magic users are high paid computer professionals and vmware users actually making money with this OSS software and give little or nothing back. I really don't see the point in this project when the big Distro's are filling in the partitioning gap and GParted is no larger being developed. The small partitioning LiveCD concept has ran it's course and I personally don't see the time spent is worth it anymore. 1.9 will be the last release.
    Hope the Gparted LiveCD doesn't go down the tubes, too.
