I'm sorry for being a noob...lol
I'm sorry i've been such a newbie the past few days and asking so many questions. I finally switched over to Ubuntu 6.06 instead of Elightment or Elive wutever u wanna call it. But I had a successful install (sounds like i just got done with surgery..lol) and I cant be happier with Ubuntu. Its extremely easy to use vs. other distros i've used. I tryed Elive or Elightment...yea well i couldnt figure it out...it was just pretty in my eyes and i couldnt figure it out so i stopped using it lol. Well I'm glad I went to Ubuntu. I love it! hopefully i can learn alot about Ubuntu and Linux...
Thanx again!

This doesn't appear to be a request for help, so I've moved it to the Coffee Lounge.

Welcome to these forums. I hope you have fun with Ubuntu and GNU/Linux in general. Have a banana:

it's ok to be a noob and post random stuff. just keep it in the coffee lounge

on a random note: who likes fried eggs? i do
Here's why Linux is easier than Windows:
Package Managers! Apt-Get and Portage (among others) allow users to install programs MUCH easier than Windows can.
Hardware Drivers. In SuSE, ALL the hardware is detected and installed automatically! How is this harder than Windows' constant disc changing and rebooting?

OK, must go into rant mode here for a second.

Posts like this piss me off, quite frankly. You have no need to apologize for not automatically knowing everything there is to know about a new operating system. We're here to help and not a single damned one of us jumped into Linux with a wealth of knowledge. Don't insult yourself or your intelligence by calling yourself a "n00b".
