I work in a mainly M$ environment. With an old AIX box, and an AS/400 in the mix. I wanted to learn something different. I wanted to have complete control over what is happening, and what is installed on my system.
This is a learning experience for me. I wanted to add to the knowledge that I had already gained in the M$ environment. Kind of a rounding out of a skill set so to speak.

Why Linux?
In all honesty there is no why for me. I just like Gnu/Linux a lot more than I did some of the commercial OS offerings.
