    G4 Tech TV?

    I thought that I'd take this time and vent.........

    I just got my satellite back on and noticed that Tech TV changed it's name to "g4 tech tv". WTF? I know this happened back in like 2003 but now all the shows are lame and stupid. Extended Play is now called "Xplay" and is hosted by Adam Sessler (now turned pervert) and Morgan Webb who in real life hasn't played a single game since the Atari. All the shows are stupid and seem to be aimed at horny nerds who would waste money on anything. Just the other day they were trying to convince people to buy a 40" hd tv (yes, please buy this if you are going blind and spend 90% of your life on your ass) Is anyone else disappointed and if so why? It sucks that Directv has me paying for this kind of crap.

    Yep, the channel formerly known as TechTV was bought out by the G4 Media conglomerate and turned into rehashed juvenile crap, with the emphasis supposedly on gamers rather than all-around tech people.

    The people I enjoyed the most (such as Leo Laporte) left quite mad, but have continued their own broadcasts with This Week in Tech (TWiT):

    the whole gamer scene is realy retarded. i like video games but i cant stand about half of the people that are concidered "gamers". they for whatever reason think that because it costs more, its better. you dont need two dual 7900gtx's to play anything. thats retarded. all the equipment made to try to get a few more kills in cs. leetspeak is a sin. they have a glove designed to work as the movement controlls for games. ungodly amounts of wow t-shirts. alienware is considered top of the line and for some reason eveybody wants them. not to mention how some people absoluley refuse to believe that laptops are not designed for gaming. laptops are designed to be portable, and fit in your lap. if you have to have a table, separate keyboard, mouse, screen, and mic just to play your games, its a freakin desktop.
