who facebooks? I think myspace is

    1) a playground for predators
    2) a race for comments and friends
    3) a stalking tool
    4) a superficial popularity, for geeks
    5) a waste of time

why not use facebook? only people you friend can even see your profile, you're in a network with people in the same college/highschool, and its simple and clean. its faster, safer, and has more features (less customizability but thats good; no more weird colored backgrounds, 18pt comic sans in hot pink, and annoying quizzes and tests posted.)

unless of course you're a reject at school/work and just dont have friends

at any rate I find facebook's status changer fun to update.

I aggree with Sam Liu. I don't really understand why it's so popular or even so essential to some of my friends. I think it can be fun to keep up a blog, post some pictures, and even customise the webpage but MySpace just seems out of control. I think the main purpose is getting as many comments/"friends" as your possibly can.

My browser never loads it right and it loads way to slow.
Yeah my friends begged me to sign up but after having so many problems with just navigating I said screw it.

It sounds okay, but they've just signed a deal with Microsoft - which will last until 2009 - to carry MS sponsored advertisements. If this disturbs you, don't use it ... Personally I find the whole social networking thing confusing.

Quite a few bands use MySpace to promote themselves now - which is understandable - but as a social experience: I can get that in the pub!

Having said that I think all these things have future potential. Maybe a site combining a wiki, forum, social space, chat environment is the way to go.

what irritates me is when MySpace users act like you are not part of modern times if you are not on mySpace. just because i dont feel like waisting my time on such rubbish doesnt mean i am not up to date with things.

Right on! A beer or two usually works for me

I went to myspace once to see what all the fuss was about, and I still don't get it.

ok, i'll post it. don't take the content to heart though, it's meant to annoy people

Here's why Linux is easier than Windows:
Package Managers! Apt-Get and Portage (among others) allow users to install programs MUCH easier than Windows can.
Hardware Drivers. In SuSE, ALL the hardware is detected and installed automatically! How is this harder than Windows' constant disc changing and rebooting?

Heh! Did you write that? Some of the sentences sound a bit North Eastern to me. Mostly the ones I'm not allowed to repeat in here!

yeah, i wrote most of it, my friend did all the PHP coding. we go to the same college and he randomly came up with that idea. we got a few ideas together and posted them for fun. i've been trying to get it spread round on myspace, but with no luck so far

if anyone would care to give that some circulation on myspace or bebo or something, please do

    Hey! Wait a minute - aren't you only 17 or 18?

makes sense...I think your first few posts here might have been some trolling

Just kidding. Though almost all of my jobs cleaning PCs have been with people over 40.

well, i did do a little windows hating, but i was over 16
the people over 40 with windows problems are usually caused by their 10 year old sons downloading the smileys and stuff like that (that one with the spyware in particular)
