I am listening to:
Hot Girls In Love by Loverboy
Lyrics:
She's so young at heart
She likes the pleasure of his company
She cuts the inside groove
With her silver spoon
She likes her tapes on 10
And it's the same as her anatomy
She's on a rainbow cruise
All the way to my room
She's turnin' on the heat
She's got the magic touch
She's turnin' on the heat
And it's a little too much
She's turnin' on the heat
And it's a hundred above yeah
Hot girls in love
I'm in love
Too many men to please
She counts them all on her rosary
You know you might get burned
So be careful where you touch
She gets it when she can
Don't need no anniversary
And she deserves the best yeah
A cut above the rest
She's turnin' on the heat
She's got the magic touch
She's turnin' on the heat
Ooooh it's a little too much
She's turnin' on the heat
And it's a hundred above
Hot girls in love
And baby I'm in love
Some say she do
Some say she don't
Some say she will
And some say she won't
Some say she can't
Well I know she can
I say I got to be
Her lovin' man
She's turnin' on the heat
She's got the magic touch
She's turnin' on the heat
Ooooh and it's a little too much
She's turnin' on the heat
It's a hundred above
Hot girls in love
Hot girls in love
It's a hundred above
Hot girls in love
I need a hot, hot girl in love
I want a hot, hot girl in love
I gotta hot, hot girl in love
Gimme a hot, hot girl in love
Hot girls in love
Hot girls in love
Hot girls in love
Hot girls in love
Hot girls in love, in love
Aaaahhh
In love
In love-D-

Lacrimosa - Lichtgestalt
Was immer du tust
Ich bin ein Teil von dir
So schnell du auch fliehst,
So weit du auch kommst
Trägst du mich mit dir
Wohin du auch gehst,
Was immer du tust
Ich bin ein Teil von dir
Wohin du auch gehst,
Was immer du tust
Ich bin ein Teil von dir
Wohin du auch gehst,
Was immer du tust
Was immer du tust
Ich bin ein Teil von dir
So schnell du auch fliehst,
So weit du auch kommst
Trägst du mich mit dir
Wohin du auch gehst,
Was immer du tust
Ich bin ein Teil von dir
Wohin du auch gehst,
Was immer du tust
Ich bin ein Teil von dir
Wohin du auch gehst,
Was immer du tust
Ich bin ein Teil von dir
Lichtgestalt, in deren Schatten ich mich drehePut your hand in an oven for a minute and it will be like an hour, sit beside a beautiful woman for an hour and it will be like a minute, that is relativity. --Albert Einstein

Domino Theory by Weather Report!!
In one of the few times I ventured into one of the World Trade Center towers to fill out some forms; I was playing this cd in my portable player and hearing it always reminds me of those buildings.
Like most New Yorkers there is still a large hole in my heart from the trauma of 9-11-01!

Elegy by As I Lay Dying
Did you ever see me - could you even see at all
I looked at your cold white face, so still, so empty
yet I knew you were at rest
yet I knew you were at rest
much more comforted - than I
what else could I find to replace who you were
It was the carefree unrestricted love that you never meant to give
you never meant to care
you never had the choice
you never meant to care
you never had the choice
It was your innocence
It was part of who you were
It was the comfort of a friend
It was the comfort of a friend
It was the comfort of a friend
you never meant to care
you never had the choice
you never mean to care
you never had the choice
It was your innocence
It was part of who you were
It was your innocence
It was the comfort of a friend
It was your innocence
It was part of who you were
It was your innocence
It was the comfort of a friend
I, for one, don't bother to look up lyrics. And besides, most of the time you can't make out what they are saying

Have Mercy Mercy Baby - Clyde McPhatter and the Dominos
Endless Nights - Eddie Money
The Love I Lost - Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes (Featuring Teddy Pendergrass)
My Heart Skips a Beat - Buck Owens
Would I Lie To You? - The Eurythmics
Turn To Stone - The Four TopsLast edited by Dapper Dan; 09-14-2006 at 02:42 AM.
- 09-14-2006 #8Weedman, back in my day you COULD understand the lyrics! Each song was like a miniature novel. Music videos were the death of great music.

When I'm at home I'm listening to the Kings of Leon, Robert Johnson, Jimi Hendrix and Akira the Don (who's a UK rap artist with a difference: he's not brilliant, just fun). The Poets of the Fall are very good too, but I only have a couple of mp3s from an online mate who introduced me to them.
Most of the lyrical stuff these days belongs to the Indie music scene, but the bands sound too similar to each other to be much fun.
I've drifted more and more into listening to assorted rock/blues tracks because they fill me full of energy at the end of a long day. Not really into one particular band anymore ... I take the 'buffet approach' to music now, picking and mixing whatever comes my way.
I'm learning some electric guitar at the moment, so this gives me an excuse to listen to anything and everything.I am always doing that which I can not do, in order that I may learn how to do it. - Pablo Picasso
