    Smile New to the forum

    Hi everyone.

I'm new to the forum, but not-so-new to Linux. I'm running SuSE 10.1 on my home machine after I realised I really didn't need Windows after all.

I don't use my machine for much other than internet and email, so... I took the plunge (again) and wiped it.

I learned Red Hat as part of my diploma of sys admin, so I'm most used to it, but I love a lot of the functionality you get with SuSE.

Welcome to the forums! Yeah, I've always liked SuSE: it's a very nice and very stable distro.

But yeah: feel free to look around, ask aboot, and answer questions from folks! We don't usually bite people.

Welcome! Suse is a favourite of mine too. I switched when 9.3 was released and it's been my main distro ever since. I still experiment to keep abreast of all things new, but I've been running Ubuntu since June on my laptop. Play around if you are interested! There are lots of great distros out there with different features on offer.
