Some are more useful than others. I use NoScript - to limit a possible security problem - DownThemAll: a download plugin which hugely speeds up file download speeds ... The Google toolbar is a very useful add-on.

There are almost certainly one or two plugins which you'll love. Some you can live without.

I just installed the NoScript one - seems like pages take longer to load. Also - isn't the Search Engine (Default - Google) toolbar standard on firefox?

Something else is going on there, I think. I've not noticed any performance loss using NoScript.

    Yes.

No sure about the slower performance. To be honest if my pages load up a little more slowly I'll just shrug my shoulders and say 'Okay - but I feel more secure surfing this way.'

As for the Google toolbar, it wasn't installed by default on my own Firefox install, but this might have changed now. Firefox upgrades itself from time to time (a feature I like very much) and I've applied the Noia theme to it. It's a very dynamic application in that sense.

It's fine now. I think it just went slow the first time because it asked me about linuxforums, googleanalytics, intellitxt & coreroot when I first opened the browser.

I allowed linuxforums but ignored the rest - and turned off the banner message. Runs fine now =)

I love the Black Aqua theme for Opera - but I seem to like the default for Firefox.

    Flashblock

This is the very first extension I install, and I can't do without it. Noscript is very useful too.
