    Forum Rules Updated

After some discussion among the mods we have come up with what we hope is a simpler, more concise set of rules for the forum, which I have posted here:

    http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/lin...ums-rules.html

The prevailing theory was that the existing rules thread was getting much too long and resembled a legal contract more than a simple set of guidelines. Hopefully this will also get more people to actually read the rules as well. Nothing significant has been added or removed, the points have just been stated more simply, with an emphasis on moderator discretion.

    "Hacking" and stuff

I remember that in the old set of rules there was a rule for not asking questions on "how do I get into some other user's comp, or turn it off and similar stuff" --basically the "hacking" stuff etc. I think those rules should be mentioned unless there has been a change in the forum rules. (e.g.:- this)
