Congratulations! What subject was your dissertation on?
Now what? You have Linux installed and running. The GUI is working fine, but you are getting tired of changing your desktop themes. You keep seeing this "terminal" thing. Don't worry, they'll show you what to do @

Out of curiosity, did you have to do an internship for your doctorate? I ask because my g/f will be proposing her dissertation soon, but she still has a year of internship before she gets her PsyD.Stand up and be counted as a Linux user!

The requirements differ based on discipline. Psychology is a lot different than say, Math.
