Aren't some Canadian teams involved? Anyway, that's beside the point. I heard it was called the World series after the newspaper (which no longer exists) that sponsered the first one -- the New York World.

It sounds like a reasonable theory to me, but I have absolutely no facts to back it up!

Yeah I heard that one too. I was watching the new episode of Lost and they were speaking about the Red Sox winning the World Series in2004 - and how they were World Champions. A little odd? Our Gaelic football and Hurling leagues have a New York and London team, but we still call it the All-Ireland.

    That's crazy man.

Apart from that glad to hear everyone had a good Friday the 13th! I'm going to go for a celebratory drive

BigTomRodney, I do not know why I get to see about 90% of your car and then the image goes blank just before it finishes loading. At any rate what I saw sure looks sleek. You've got a great computer and a great car-do you live in a Castle?

Haha no but thanks for saying so much of me. That picture is kind of a funny perspective on the car. It's pretty much a Volkswagen Golf (Or Rabbit as you guys call this generation). I'm a big Diesel fan, so it's the best option. Here's a better picture -

A teacher of mine once said " You have the same physical eyes you were born with; however your perceptions of just what you are looking at should change ( depending upon your spiritual growth ) every day. You built your own computer and decided on a car to purchase. To me these decisions reveal a part your insight. Such is one of the factors of age.

Many of my teachers were quite willing to share their knowledge and trust with me because they saw things in me that I was much too young to be aware of. A castle may very well be in your future!!

Very kind words, thank you. Something to think about for me. It's been a big year. I'm now 26, I moved into a new career. I also moved 50 miles from where I grew up and bought a house with my girlfriend. So there have been a lot of milestones this year for me.

But most importantly I made Moderator!
