    free shell accounts(new to shell accounts)

    hi i m using ubuntu and windows 2000. i heard about shell accounts from one of my frieds and i want to use it.i googled through free shell acounts and found no helpful result.can anyone tell me which free shell account should i use? i even don't know how to use telnet servers. but i think the problem is account after this i would be able to use. plz reply soon. thanks.

    Okay: what exactly do you mean? An account on a Linux system always has access to a local shell (in Ubuntu, run the Terminal program).

    What are you looking for a shell account on? The "free shell account" services are usually webservere hosts who provide shell access to their servers: this allows for users to have more control over the website's environment.
